The NTBIO One Step Rapid Test hCG Pregnancy Midstream Test is a rapid chromatographic immunoassay for the qualitative detection of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) in urine to aid in the early detection of pregnancy.Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG) is a glycoprotein hormone secreted by the developing placenta shortly after fertilization. In normal pregnancy, hCG can be detected in the urine as early as 7 days after conception. The level of hCG increases rapidly during early pregnancy, doubling every 1.4-2.2 days, soon reaching a level that can be detected in urine. The detection limit for the hCG Test Kit is 20 mIU/ml. The NTBIO hCG pregnancy test is sensitive enough to detect hCG at this level.
